About

Built around the marks you already earned.

OUTLRN is a free preparation tool for JEE Main and JEE Advanced. It starts from an observation that is easy to verify on your own scorecard: for most aspirants, the gap between what they solved and what they scored is larger than the gap caused by syllabus they never studied.

The method, and the reasoning behind it

A student who solves ninety marks worth of questions in a mock and scores fifty-eight has not lost thirty-two marks of syllabus. Those marks went to negative marking on questions they guessed at, to a sign dropped in the fourth line, to reading “not” as “is”, and to two chapters they keep skipping in revision because those chapters are unpleasant. None of that is fixed by covering more syllabus. All of it is fixed by knowing the split.

So the tools here work backwards from errors rather than forwards from a syllabus: log what went wrong, classify it, count the pattern weekly, and retest the correction cold after a gap. That is what we mean by Error-Driven Learning. It is not a novel claim — error logs are old advice in exam preparation — but the discipline usually collapses because doing it on paper cannot filter, sort by mistake type or tell you which errors are still open. That is the part software is genuinely good at.

What OUTLRN is not

It is not a coaching institute and is not affiliated with one. It does not teach the syllabus, and it is designed to sit on top of whatever you already use — Allen, PW, FIITJEE, Resonance or self-study — rather than to replace it. Your coaching gives you the material and the test series; this tells you where the marks went afterwards.

It is also not a guarantee of a rank, and you will not find a percentile promise anywhere on this site. The worked figures used throughout — ninety solved, fifty-eight net, a thirty-two mark gap — are an illustration of how marks leak, not a measured result from users. Where student quotes appear, they are illustrative of the problem the product addresses rather than verified reviews, which is why they are not marked up as review ratings.

Where to start

If you are new here, the mock test analysis is the useful first step: it takes one scorecard and produces the split above. Everything else follows from knowing which of the four causes is costing you most.

  • JEE Preparation Tools Every study tool in OUTLRN, and the jee mistakes each one is built to catch.
  • JEE Subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics — and the jee mistakes that cost you marks in each.
