Knowing the formula is easy. Knowing when it applies isn't.
Every formula on one page with the condition it holds under — because in JEE the marks are lost applying a correct formula in a case where it does not hold.

WHERE FORMULAS FAIL
The formula was right. The case wasn't.
Very few JEE marks are lost to a formula nobody could remember. Plenty are lost to a correct formula used where it does not hold.
Conditions are the exam's target
Ideal gas, constant acceleration, massless string — questions are routinely built on the case where the standard assumption breaks.
A list is not a tool
A page of expressions with no conditions attached is a reference you can follow straight into a wrong answer.
You reach for it mid-problem
A formula sheet is used while stuck, so it has to be findable in seconds and laid out the way the chapter is.
A formula without its condition is a trap with a tidy layout.
WHAT IT DOES
A formula without its condition is a trap.
Most formula sheets are a wall of symbols. The symbols are the part you already remember. What decides the mark is whether the assumption behind the formula holds in the question in front of you.
Conditions attached
Each formula carries what must be true for it to apply — the part JEE questions are built to test.
Organised by chapter
Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, chapter by chapter, so it is usable mid-problem.
Flags your misapplications
Formulas you have applied wrongly before are marked, because that is where it will happen again.
Formula sheets live inside the OUTLRN app. This page explains the format rather than hosting a download.
HOW IT WORKS
Built for the moment you're stuck.
A formula sheet is read under pressure, mid-question, when you half-remember something. Its job is to resolve that in seconds without you having to reconstruct the derivation.
- 01
Find it by chapter
Grouped the way you think about the syllabus, not alphabetically.
- 02
Read the condition first
Constant acceleration, ideal behaviour, small angle — stated next to the result, not implied.
- 03
Check your own flags
Formulas you have misapplied before are marked, so the same trap does not run twice.
WHAT YOU GET
One page you can rely on under time.
Everything on it is chosen for the moment you are halfway through a question and not sure the relation applies.
Conditions attached
Every entry says when it holds, which is the half that decides the mark.
Findable in seconds
Organised by chapter and topic, for use inside a question rather than at a desk.
Your own flags
Formulas you have misapplied before are marked, so the sheet warns you where you specifically go wrong.
Around the sheet
Where a condition you keep misapplying should go next.
What students said about formula sheet
“I had been using the constant-acceleration equations in a case where acceleration was not constant, for months. Nobody had ever written the condition next to the formula.”
“Having Physical Chemistry formulas on one page with their assumptions saved me real time in mocks. I stopped second-guessing the ideal gas cases.”
“The flags on formulas I had got wrong before were a small thing that changed a lot.”
STRAIGHT ANSWERS
Formula Sheet questions
Should I memorise the whole formula sheet?
Not by rote. The formulas you use often will stick through practice, and the ones you use rarely are exactly the ones you should be looking up rather than half-remembering.
Why do the conditions matter so much?
Because JEE questions are frequently built around a case where the obvious formula does not apply. Recalling the formula correctly and applying it in the wrong case scores the same as not knowing it — with negative marking on top.
Which subject needs a formula sheet most?
Physics for the volume of relations, Physical Chemistry for the conditions attached to nearly every one. Mathematics needs it least, because most results there are better rebuilt than recalled.
Is it useful during a mock test?
During the review afterwards, yes. Consulting it mid-mock defeats the purpose — you are then testing your lookup speed rather than your preparation.
