Physics · Chemistry · Mathematics

Three papers, three completely different ways to lose marks.

Physics punishes a misread condition. Chemistry punishes a half-remembered exception. Mathematics punishes one wrong line in an otherwise correct method. Same student, same paper, three different sets of jee mistakes — which is why one jee preparation strategy across all three quietly fails.

JEE Subjects questions

Which subject should I focus on first for JEE?

The one leaking the most marks, which is rarely the one that feels hardest. Split a recent jee mock test by subject and compare marks solved against marks scored — the paper with the widest gap holds your most expensive jee weak topics, whatever your instinct says.

Is JEE Mathematics really the hardest of the three?

It is usually the longest, not the hardest. Maths punishes time management and single-line arithmetic slips more than the other two, so the jee mistakes there land on questions you could actually solve — which reads as difficulty but is really accuracy and pacing.

How much of JEE Chemistry is memory?

Less than most students assume. Physical Chemistry is almost entirely method, Organic is mechanism and pattern rather than a list, and only Inorganic rewards recall. Students who treat all three as memorisation lose Physical and Organic marks they had the method for.

Should I revise chapter-wise or take full mock tests?

Both, in that order. Chapter-wise work closes your jee weak topics; a full jee mock test is the only thing that tests them under time pressure and negative marking, which is where most of the loss actually happens. Mocks without chapter work just re-measure the same gap every week.
